In March we had two wonderful Scripture Study days. The first was entitled ‘Listening to the Word in Luke’. We were privileged to hear new insights into the Gospel of Luke, particularly the central theme of the Word of God which runs throughout the Gospel. Our teacher, Fr Adrian Graffy, was inspirational as he opened the Scriptures to us.
The second of our Scripture Study Days was entitled ‘The Enigmatic Figure of the Suffering Servant’ which was led by Dr John McDade. We were given new understanding into the four Suffering Servant poems in Isaiah, in particular, the fourth poem which we hear during the Good Friday Liturgy. The day was a very good preparation for the Easter Triduum.
