Reflections on the Sunday Readings in the liturgy during Advent

1^st Sunday of Advent – ‘Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come’ (Mark 13 :33)

2^nd Sunday of Advent – In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord (Isaiah 40 : 3)

3^rd Sunday of Advent – John the Baptist – the one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord’ (John 1:23)

4^th Sunday of Advent – I am the handmaid of the Lord, Let it be done to me according to your word. (Luke 1:38)

This course is designed to cover the 4 weeks of Advent, the 1st session being held in the week before the 1st Sunday of Advent (29th November)
