An introduction to the work of Robert Alter
Robert Alter is a major literary scholar who has devoted decades to producing a new translation of the Hebrew Bible and using literary approaches to help us appreciate the texts. We will look at Alter’s work on Biblical poetry and narrative, as well as understanding and sampling the new translation.
