Walking Together on the Way, the recent document from the Anglican Roman Catholic International Commission (ARCIC), used Receptive Ecumenism as a means for one church to learn from another. ARCIC is one instance where this exciting form of ecumenism has brought Christians closer together and offered them the possibility of walking more closely with Christ as they learn how to follow him in company with one another. This study afternoon will look at Receptive Ecumenism, evaluate its spiritual and ecclesial challenge, and have a special focus upon Walking Together on the Way.
