17th May 2016 : The Jewish Year in Song

MusicWorkShop-Image

Every Jewish festival has its distinctive and beloved tunes, both for synagogue services and for home observances.  Rabbi and cantor Mark Solomon will take us on a musical “Cook’s tour” of the Jewish year, the feasts and the fasts, the solemn and the joyous, including the famous Kol Nidre for the Day of Atonement. He will conclude with the melodies of the Kaddish prayer appropriate to each festival.
